Ayutha Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026

1. Who We Are

Ayutha (“the app”) is a set of PDF, image and audio tools for Android, built by oodhwe (“we”, “our”, “us”, www.oodhwe.in). This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information. For any privacy-related questions, contact us at support@oodhwe.in.

2. The Short Version

  • Ayutha works on your device. The files you pick are processed locally and are not uploaded to us or to anyone else.
  • There are no accounts or sign-ups.
  • We do not use analytics, advertising or crash-reporting SDKs.
  • We do not collect, sell or share your personal information.

3. Your Files

When you use a tool (for example splitting or merging a PDF, resizing an image, or trimming audio), the app reads the files you select and creates new files on your device. This processing happens entirely on your phone. We never receive a copy of your files, their contents or their names.

Passwords you type for PDF tools (such as removing or adding a password) are used only to perform that operation on your device. They are not stored and not sent anywhere.

Processed files are saved to Downloads/Ayutha on your device. They are named ayutha_<name>, and existing files are never overwritten. These files stay on your device until you delete them, and remain there if you uninstall the app. The app may also create short-lived temporary files in its cache while processing, which are removed afterwards.

4. Information Stored on Your Device

The app does not keep any account or profile. It does not read your contacts, location, microphone or messages. The camera is used only while the QR Scanner is open, to read codes on your device; the camera image is not saved or sent anywhere.

The app keeps two small records in a database on your phone. The scan history holds the text of the codes you scanned, so you can open them again. This includes whatever the code contains, such as a Wi-Fi password or a payment (UPI) address; you can delete single entries or clear it from the history screen. The usage report holds only the name of the tool and action and the time, for example “PDF merge”, and shows you how often you used each tool; it never contains file names or file contents, and you can clear it in Settings. Neither record is sent anywhere, and both are removed when you uninstall the app. Scanned documents and ID cards exist only as temporary files until you save them, and are deleted afterwards.

5. Permissions

  • No storage permission — the app does not ask for access to your files. You pick files with the system file picker, and the app saves its results to Downloads/Ayutha and lists them in the “Saved files” screen. It only touches the files you pick and the files it creates.
  • Camera — only for the QR Scanner, to read codes live. You can deny it and still scan codes from a saved image. The Document and ID Card scanners use Google Play services to take the photo and crop the page on your device.
  • Other apps — when you tap an action on a scanned code (open a link, pay with UPI, call, message, email, show a place), the app opens the matching app on your phone with that code. What happens next is governed by that app. Ayutha does not make or see the payment.
  • Internet — the app does not use the internet to process your files. Links such as Privacy Policy, Terms of Service and Support open in your browser or email app.

You can revoke the camera permission at any time in your device settings.

6. Contacting Support

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to reply to you and to improve the app, and we do not share it with third parties. Please do not send sensitive documents by email.

7. Third-Party Links and Components

Links in the app open web pages (such as app.oodhwe.in) in your browser, and those sites are governed by their own policies. The app uses open-source libraries to process files on your device; they do not send your data to us. The Document and ID Card scanners use the document scanner of Google Play services on your phone, which may download its scanning model once and is governed by Google’s own terms and privacy policy; Ayutha does not send your scans to us or to anyone else.

8. Children

Ayutha does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. It does not require an account or any personal details to use.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If the app’s data practices change, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date above.
