CellSwipe ("the app") is an Android app for opening, viewing, editing, searching and exploring spreadsheet files. It is built by oodhwe ("we", "our", "us", www.oodhwe.in). This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information. Questions? Contact us at support@oodhwe.in.
When you open a spreadsheet, the app reads it on your device using Android's file access. Files are edited in place, in the location where they already are, and are saved only when you save. Their contents are never sent to us or to anyone else by the app.
If a file is stored with a cloud provider such as Google Drive, that provider's own app and policy handle its upload and download. CellSwipe does not send the contents of your files over the network.
The app keeps a small amount of information on your device only: your recent and pinned file list (file names, locations and last-opened details) and your settings (theme, grid text size, compact rows, digit grouping). This is used to show your Home screen and preferences. You can clear the recent and pinned list in Settings. All of it is removed when you uninstall the app or clear its data.
The app uses the internet permission only so that ads can be shown. It does not request broad storage, contacts, location, camera, microphone or messages permissions. It can only read or write files that you choose, or that you open with the app from another app, through Android's file picker and sharing features.
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to reply to you and to improve the app, and we do not share it with third parties. Please do not attach confidential spreadsheets unless needed to explain a problem.
Links in the app (such as this policy and the Terms & Conditions) open in your browser or email app, and those sites are governed by their own policies. The app may contain Google ads (Google AdMob). Google and its partners may collect and use information such as your device's advertising ID, IP address and ad interactions to serve and measure ads, and may use cookies or similar technologies, under Google's privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy) and its advertising policies. Where required, you may be asked for consent, and you can reset or opt out of personalised ads in your Android settings. Your spreadsheet contents are not shared with advertisers. The app also uses open-source libraries that run on your device. Google Play may collect its own information when you install the app, under Google's privacy policy.
The app is a general-purpose tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
Because we do not collect or hold your personal information, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete. You control all of your data on your device. If you have emailed us and want that correspondence deleted, tell us at support@oodhwe.in and we will remove it.
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed.
